Father H. Jonathan Mayo
Father Jonathan is a native of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, returning to Pennsylvania in 2010 after a 30-year absence. He had previously served parishes in California, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. During that time, because he was serving small churches, he additionally enjoyed a career in Information Technology, from which he retired in 2010. He graduated from Wyoming Seminary College Prep School, Kingston, PA in 1971, Wilkes College (now University), Wilkes-Barre, in 1975, and St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary, Crestwood, NY, in 1980. He has immediate family living in the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos. In addition to serving at St. Stephen's, Fr. J. (as everyone calls him) also serves as Rector of St. George's Church, Hellertown, PA.
He and his wife Hazel, who hails originally from Georgetown, Guyana, South America, were married in 2013.

Mr. Maurice Dimmick
Maurice started at St Stephen’s in 1964 as the organist and choir director. Prior to coming to us he spent 4 years in the United States Navy where he graduated from the Navy School of Music. Here he honed his skills on the clarinet, saxophone and flute. Upon the completion of his Naval service, Maurice played with various bands, show productions and opening acts.
Maurice has been married to his wife, Darlene since 1963 and together they have three children and six grandchildren. Although Maurice loves classical music -Brahms is his favorite composer -his musical taste and talents are wide ranging. Aside from music Maurice enjoys gardening and staying fit.
